Visit an area full of history and stunning views. The ruins of Tintagel Castle give a hint of the splendour in which King Arthur is supposed to have lived, near to Merlin's Cave.
You can also visit the ancient St Materiana's Church, high on the cliff, overlooking the castle, or see the Medieval Old Post Office, complete with cottage garden.
And if you still have the energy, you can walk part of the South West Coast Path, passing the points where slate was mined and then dropped into waiting boats below.
