Changes to local bus services in Cornwall from Sunday 20th April 2025

From Sunday 20th April, customers across the county may see some changes to their services, all of which are to help improve efficiencies and punctuality. Please refer to the table below which contains details for every service in Cornwall, identifying relative changes where applicable, including changes to routes and service numbers.

7 /7A	Go Cornwall Bus	Lands End – St Ives – Penzance	A limited seasonal provision will be made over the Land’s End to St Ives section by Go Cornwall Bus in part replacing the Land’s End Coaster.
8	Go Cornwall Bus	Penzance – St Just via Sancreed	No significant changes.
9	Go Cornwall Bus	Mousehole – Penzance (School days)	No significant changes.
10	Go Cornwall Bus	Plymouth – Looe – Polperro	The timetable for this service is revised to improve reliability. No additional journeys will be added to the service during the peak summer following poor usage in 2024.
11	Go Cornwall Bus	Padstow – Wadebridge – Bodmin – Bodmin Parkway – Liskeard – Plymouth	The timetable for this service is significantly revised with the service primarily operating two distinct sections. Padstow to Bodmin Parkway and Dobwalls to Plymouth reflecting where the significant passenger flows lie on the route. Passengers from Liskeard and Dobwalls wishing to access Trago Mills can continue to do so on service 77. Frequency between Bodmin Hospital and Wadebridge is reduced to 1 bus per hour from the current 2 reflecting levels of passenger use. Service 26 will provide the second bus per hour between Bodmin Parkway and Bodmin Town Centre/Hospital These changes will remove the restriction to providing Double Deck vehicles on the busiest journeys into and out of Plymouth.
12	Go Cornwall Bus	Plymouth – St Dominick (12A) – Callington – Launceston – Bude	The timetable for this service is significantly revised and the service split into three sections reflecting where the significant passenger flows lie on the route. Bude to Launceston will be the service 76, Launceston to Callington will be the 76A and Callington to Plymouth stays as service 12. The overall level of service will remain broadly similar to now with connections provided between each section. Some key journeys at peak times will continue to run through without a need to change bus.
15	Go Cornwall Bus	Gwithian – Hayle Town – St Erth – Penzance	The first and last journeys on the timetable are removed due to very limited passenger use.
16/16A	Go Cornwall Bus	Penzance – Nancleadra (16) / Zennor (16A) – St Ives	No significant changes
17/17A	First Bus	St Ives – Penzance – St Just (17) – Pendeen (17) or Madron (17A)	The timetable for this service is significantly revised to introduce summer service levels and improve reliability. Service 17A will operate via St Ives Holiday Park.
17E	Go Cornwall Bus	Penzance – St Just – Pendeen (Evenings)	No significant changes.
21	Go Cornwall Bus	St Austell – St Dennis – Newquay	A revised timetable will be implemented removing some off-peak journeys between St Austell and St Dennis, a minimum of an hourly service is maintained between these points with services 22/22A. A half hourly service is maintained on the section of route between Kingsley Village to Newquay between the 21/21A and 91.
21A	Go Cornwall Bus	St Austell – St Stephen – Summercourt – Indian Queens – Newquay	Formally part of service 25 with revised route between Summercourt and Quintrell Downs via Indian Queens instead of Kestle Mill which remains served by service 93. This will create new links between St Stephen and the Fraddon / Indian Queens area. In St Austell most journeys continue across St Austell to Asda and the Hospital.
22/22A	Go Cornwall Bus	St Austell – St Dennis – Truro	A revised timetable will be introduced to maintain a broadly hourly service from St Austell to St Dennis. In St Austell most journeys will continue across St Austell or connect with services to Asda and the Hospital.
23	Go Cornwall Bus	St Austell – Gorran Haven	No significant changes.
24	First Bus	Fowey – St Austell – Mevagissey – Heligan Gardens	A revised timetable will be introduced with additional peak time journeys.
24E	Go Cornwall Bus (Early morning & evenings)	Fowey – St Austell – Mevagissey	No significant changes.
25	Go Cornwall Bus	Fowey – St Austell – St Stephen - Newquay	The current service will be split into two sections. Service 25 will continue to operate between Fowey and St Austell. In Fowey the service will run from the Main Car Park due to continued ongoing issues with parking on Tower Road. Between St Austell and Newquay service 25 is replaced with the 21A which will follow the same route as far as Summercourt then pick-up the route of the 21 into Newquay.
26	Go Cornwall Bus	St Austell – Bugle – Roche – Bodmin	A significantly revised timetable will be implemented with some off-peak journeys removed between Bodmin Hospital and St Austell. The routing will be revised around Stenalees upon completion of the A391 Link Road. Most journeys will be extended to Bodmin Parkway Station replacing some current service 11 journeys between Bodmin Hospital and Bodmin Parkway.
27	First	Truro – St Austell	Previously operated as part of the T2, a revised timetable will be put in place providing a regular hourly service on Mondays to Saturdays with timings adjusted to provide a number of connectional opportunities across St Austell.
27E	Go Cornwall Bus (Early morning & evenings and Sundays)	Truro – Grampound – St Austell	No significant changes.
28	Go Cornwall Bus	St Austell – Lostwithiel	No significant changes. Service 28A will be used to identify journeys which follow a non-standard route.
29	First Bus	St Austell – Mevagissey / Lost Gardens of Heligan	A revised timetable will be put in place providing a regular hourly service on Mondays to Saturdays with timings adjusted to provide a number of connectional opportunities across St Austell.

Within Bodmin journeys across the town are retained approximately 2 hourly.

93/93A	Go Cornwall Bus	Truro – Trispen – Mitchell – Quintrell Downs – Newquay	A revised timetable will be introduced. Service 93A replaces existing evening journeys on service 94 via St Columb Major. School journeys will be numbered 93P for Penair School and 93T for Treviglas Academy.
94	Go Cornwall Bus	Truro – St Columb Major – Newquay Airport - Wadebridge	The current service 90 will be renumbered 94 and run through to Wadebridge where improved connections, in many cases without need to change buses, will be available onto service 95. North Cornwall will gain a direct link to Newquay Airport for the first time.
95	Go Cornwall Bus	Bude – Boscastle – Camelford – Wadebridge	A revised timetable will be introduced to improve connections at Wadebridge where most journeys will run through to Truro, mostly on the same bus. The service will operate via Delabole instead of Helstone.
96	Go Cornwall Bus	Wadebridge – Polzeath – Port Isaac – Camelford – Bodmin	This service is significantly revised to reflect patterns of use and to remove additional mileage that has been added over time outside the contractual requirements. Service 96 will predominantly operate between Wadebridge and Port Isaac and Service 55 between Camelford and Bodmin. Delabole will be served by the re-routed service 95 maintaining links to Wadebridge and Camelford.

T3	First Bus	St Ives – Hayle – Camborne – Truro – Newquay	This service is withdrawn and replaced by additional journeys on the T2 between St Ives and Truro. A new commercially provided service 91 by Go Cornwall Bus replaces most T3 journeys between Truro and Newquay.
U1	First Bus	Falmouth – Penryn – Tremough – Truro – St Agnes - Perranporth – Newquay	This service is split at Truro with journeys between Truro and Newquay now on service 87. Additional journeys will operate between Falmouth and Tremough Campus replacing the U3.
U1E	First Bus	Falmouth – Penryn – Tremough – Truro – St Agnes – Perranporth – Holywell Bay – Newquay	This service is split at Truro with journeys between Truro and Newquay now on service 87. Journeys between Falmouth and Truro will operate as service U1.
U2	First Bus	Falmouth – Penryn – Tremough - Redruth	The timetable for this service is completely revised with a small reduction in frequency.
U3	First Bus	Falmouth Wood Lane Campus – Penryn Tremough Campus (University Term Time)	This service is withdrawn and replaced with additional journeys provided on service U1.
U4	First Bus	Falmouth – Penryn – Tremough – Helston – Penzance	The timetable for this service is revised to improve reliability. Additional journeys will operate via Praa Sands.
